First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 20 times
Summary
This study looks at three ways to fix medium-to-large ventral hernias (a bulge in the belly wall): open surgery, laparoscopic (small cuts), and robot-assisted. Researchers want to see which method leads to the smoothest recovery, fewest complications, and lowest cost. About 750 adults with midline hernias are taking part.
