First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study tested two types of archwires used in braces to straighten crowded front teeth. Fifty-two patients aged 16-25 with moderate crowding had their teeth scanned over 6 months to see how fast and well the wires worked. The goal was to find out if heat-activated wires improve alignment and reduce pain compared to standard wires.
