Head-to-Head test: which chemo cocktail works best before cancer surgery?
NCT ID NCT02359968
Summary
This study aimed to find the better chemotherapy combination to give patients before surgery for esophageal or gastro-esophageal junction cancer. It directly compared two common drug regimens (FOLFOX vs. Paclitaxel-Carboplatin) combined with radiation. The goal was to see which approach led to more successful tumor removal and fewer serious complications after surgery.
