New study aims to improve lung nodule diagnosis with advanced biopsy techniques
NCT ID NCT07326072
First seen Jan 09, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 20 times
Summary
This study compares two ways to take tissue samples from lung nodules that are hard to reach with a regular bronchoscope. About 228 adults aged 18 to 90 with suspicious lung nodules will be randomly assigned to get either an ultra-thin cryobiopsy or a forceps biopsy, both guided by electromagnetic navigation. The goal is to see which method is safer and better at diagnosing the nodules.
