New hope for older leukemia patients: which chemo works best?

Summary

This study tests two different chemotherapy combinations in adults aged 55 to 75 with acute myeloid leukemia (AML) who are healthy enough for strong treatment. One group gets a newer drug combo (venetoclax plus azacitidine), while the other gets standard chemotherapy. The goal is to see which approach helps people live longer and achieve remission. About 240 participants will take part across multiple hospitals in China.
