New study aims to help south asians manage diabetes and depression together

Summary
This study will adapt a community health worker-led program to include mental health support for South Asians with type 2 diabetes who are at risk for depression. About 100 adults in New York City will take part to see if the program helps improve blood sugar levels and reduce diabetes-related distress and depressive symptoms. The goal is to make care more accessible and culturally sensitive.
