Summary

This study tested whether adding a community health worker to the care team helps children with type 1 diabetes improve blood sugar control and reduce hospital visits. 84 children with type 1 diabetes for over a year and with recent high blood sugar or hospital visits took part. The goal was to see if this extra support leads to better diabetes management and fewer emergencies.
