New virtual therapy aims to help dementia patients communicate better with loved ones

Summary

This study tests a personalized, virtual speech therapy program for people with primary progressive aphasia (a type of dementia that affects language) and their communication partners. The goal is to see if the program improves communication and quality of life. About 30 participants will either receive therapy right away or after a waiting period, and will complete assessments and questionnaires.
