New combo therapy could slow Kids' worsening eyesight

NCT ID NCT06358755

First seen Mar 19, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 12 times

Summary

This study looks at whether using special glasses or contact lenses that blur peripheral vision, together with low-dose atropine eye drops, can slow down nearsightedness (myopia) in children. About 112 Hong Kong Chinese children aged 7 to 12 with mild to moderate myopia will be followed for 18 months. The goal is to see if the combination works better than either treatment alone.
