DMV becomes health hub in fight against colon cancer disparities
NCT ID NCT05903885
Summary
This study aims to increase colon cancer screening among African American adults aged 45-75 by offering free, convenient at-home test kits during visits to a local DMV office. Researchers will provide kits, educational materials, and follow-up support to 1,200 participants, and test whether adding social media ads helps more people complete the screening. The goal is to find better ways to promote early detection and reduce the higher rates of colon cancer in the Black community.
