New hope for tough colon cancers: immune therapy before surgery

NCT ID NCT03926338

Summary

This study is testing whether giving immunotherapy drugs before surgery can help shrink tumors in people with advanced colorectal cancer that has specific genetic features. About 270 participants will receive either toripalimab alone or combined with celecoxib to see which approach works better. The main goals are to see if tumors disappear completely before surgery and to monitor how long patients remain cancer-free after treatment.
