Can a smartphone app make colonoscopies smarter?
NCT ID NCT07424391
First seen Feb 22, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 9 times
Summary
This study looks at whether a digital training program called Colo-ID can help doctors more accurately identify the type of colon polyps they see during a colonoscopy. About 1,500 adults with at least one polyp will take part. Doctors will record their best guess of the polyp type before and after using the app, and those guesses will be compared to lab results. The goal is to see if the training improves accuracy and could lead to fewer unnecessary polyp removals.
