Collagen wrap may improve hand movement after tendon repair

NCT ID NCT07335653

First seen Jan 17, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 20 times

Summary

This study tested whether wrapping a repaired hand tendon with a special collagen sheet could reduce scarring and improve finger movement. Sixty adults with cut tendons in the hand or wrist took part. Half got standard repair alone, half got the collagen wrap added. The goal was to see if the wrap leads to better motion and less stiffness.
