Mouth spray may curb cold virus spread

NCT ID NCT07041671

First seen Apr 24, 2026 · Last updated Apr 24, 2026

Summary

This study tests whether a single dose of ColdZyme mouth spray can lower the amount of virus people breathe out when they have a cold or flu. Researchers will measure virus levels in exhaled air before and after using the spray. The goal is to see if the spray, which forms a protective barrier in the mouth and throat, can help reduce the spread of respiratory infections. The study involves 200 adults with early cold or flu symptoms.
