First seen May 13, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study explores whether repeated cold exposure that causes shivering can improve how the body uses insulin in people with type 2 diabetes. Fifteen adults aged 40-75 will undergo 10 days of cold acclimation. The goal is to see if this approach can lower blood sugar and improve heart health, offering a new option for those who struggle with exercise.
