New pill tested to knock out cold and flu misery
NCT ID NCT05118672
Summary
This study tested whether a three-in-one pill (containing paracetamol, fexofenadine, and phenylephrine) works better than a placebo (a dummy pill with no medicine) at relieving common cold and flu symptoms like congestion, runny nose, and sore throat. It involved 567 adults in Brazil who had recently developed symptoms. Participants took either the real pill or the placebo for 3 to 7 days to see which group felt better.
