Summary

This study aimed to find out which of two short screening tests works better to detect thinking and memory problems in people being treated for alcohol use disorder. Researchers compared the MoCA test against a newer test called BEARNI, which was designed specifically for this patient group. They checked the results of both quick tests against a more detailed, standard set of neuropsychological exams to see which one was more accurate.
