First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 26 times
Summary
This study tested a special set of calming activities (called Cognitive-Behavioral Intervention Package) to help children aged 6-18 with cancer feel less pain, anxiety, and fear when getting a needle into their port catheter. 54 children took part, with some receiving the calming activities before the needle and others getting standard care. The goal was to see if the activities made the needle stick less distressing.
