Smart implant fights inflammation to boost hearing

Summary
This study tests a new cochlear implant that slowly releases a drug called dexamethasone to reduce inflammation and tissue damage after surgery. The goal is to see if this helps the implant work better for hearing. The trial involves 56 adults with severe hearing loss. Participants receive the implant and are monitored for hearing improvement and device performance.
