First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 02, 2026 · Updated 27 times
Summary
This study tests two types of cochlear implants in 30 adults with severe-to-profound hearing loss who have not used an implant before. The goal is to see if the implants improve word recognition scores by at least 20% compared to hearing aids, while also checking for device failures. Participants receive the implant as part of routine care and are followed for six months after activation.
