Summary

This study tested two types of cochlear implants in 37 adults with severe-to-profound hearing loss who had never used an auditory implant before. The goal was to see how safe the implants are and how well they help people understand speech in quiet and noisy settings. Participants received the implant as part of their normal medical care.
