First seen Mar 27, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 9 times

Summary

This study tested two types of cochlear implants (HiRes Ultra and HiRes Ultra 3D) in 30 adults with severe-to-profound hearing loss who had never used an implant before. The goal was to see how safe and effective the devices are at helping people understand speech in quiet and noisy settings. Participants were followed to measure their ability to hear words and sentences after receiving the implant.
