Summary
This study tested the safety and performance of a new cochlear implant (Ultra X) in 30 adults with severe-to-profound hearing loss who had never used an implant before. Participants were evaluated on how well they could understand speech in quiet and noisy settings. The implant is designed to help people hear better when hearing aids are no longer enough.
