Skin sensor vs. blood test: which measures CO2 better during special breathing?

NCT ID NCT07211763

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 26 times

Summary

This study looks at 100 adults having liver tumor treatment with a special breathing method called jet ventilation. Normally, carbon dioxide is measured in exhaled air, but that doesn't work here. Researchers will compare a sticker on the skin (transcutaneous) with a standard blood test to see if they give similar results. The goal is to find out which method is more reliable for keeping patients safe.
