First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 23 times

Summary

This study looks at how different carbon dioxide levels in the blood affect brain blood flow and thinking after robot-assisted prostate surgery. About 46 men aged 55-80 will be randomly assigned to receive high or low carbon dioxide during anesthesia. Researchers will measure brain blood flow and test memory and thinking one day after surgery to see if carbon dioxide levels make a difference.
