First seen Mar 28, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 7 times
Summary
This study looks at whether measuring the difference in carbon dioxide levels between two types of blood samples can help doctors better treat adults with serious injuries in the ICU. About 60 participants will be split into two groups: one gets treatment guided by this CO2 gap, the other gets standard care. The goal is to see if this extra monitoring reduces time on a breathing machine and improves recovery.
