Blood test may predict hidden virus risk after transplant
NCT ID NCT06814301
First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 15 times
Summary
This study looks at 123 stem cell transplant patients to see if their immune system's ability to fight CMV (a common virus) after stopping a preventive drug called letermovir can predict later infections. Researchers will take blood samples to measure immune response and track infections up to 200 days after transplant. The goal is to personalize how long patients need preventive treatment.
