First seen Apr 14, 2026 · Last updated Jun 19, 2026 · Updated 10 times

Summary

This study looks at whether doing progressive relaxation exercises with a therapeutic clown can lower fear and anxiety in children before surgery. The trial includes 162 children aged 6 to 10 who are having circumcision. They are split into three groups: one does relaxation with a clown, one does relaxation with a nurse, and one gets standard care. Researchers will measure anxiety, fear, and vital signs like heart rate and blood pressure.
