First seen May 03, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 4 times
Summary
This study followed 45 people with chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) who were taking the targeted drug acalabrutinib (Calquence) along with a direct oral anticoagulant (DOAC) — a type of blood thinner. The goal was to see how often serious bleeding occurred. Researchers tracked major bleeding events and other side effects to better understand the real-world safety of combining these medications.
