First seen Mar 30, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 6 times
Summary
This study compared two ways to remove the gallbladder: the standard method using clips, and a new method using a harmonic scalpel without clips. 158 adults with gallstones took part. The goal was to see if the new method led to shorter surgery time and less blood loss. The study also looked at hospital stay length and infection rates.
