One dose a day may be enough for septic abortion treatment
NCT ID NCT02309346
First seen Jan 06, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 22 times
Summary
This study looked at 202 women with septic abortion, a serious infection after a miscarriage or abortion. They compared giving the antibiotic clindamycin once a day versus three times a day, both with another antibiotic. The goal was to see if the simpler once-daily dose works just as well to cure the infection. The results help doctors choose the best treatment plan.
