Scientists use computer simulations to map breathing problems in cleft lip patients
NCT ID NCT04150783
Summary
This study used computer simulations to understand how cleft lip affects nasal breathing. Researchers created 3D models from CT scans of 12 adult patients to analyze airflow before and after surgery. The goal was to identify problem areas and help surgeons improve breathing outcomes for cleft lip patients.
