First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 28 times
Summary
This study tests whether strictly avoiding low blood sugar (hypoglycemia) can help adults with type 1 diabetes regain the ability to feel symptoms of low blood sugar. About 324 participants with impaired awareness of hypoglycemia will use a closed-loop insulin system and education over 24 months. The goal is to improve the body's natural defense responses and quality of life.
