Summary
This study looks at whether drinking only clear liquids for 24 hours before anesthesia can reduce stomach contents in people taking GLP-1 drugs (like Ozempic or Wegovy). The goal is to prevent stomach contents from entering the lungs during surgery. About 136 adults on these medications will be observed before upper endoscopy. Researchers will use ultrasound to check stomach fullness and track thirst, hunger, and anxiety.
