NCT ID NCT07288723

First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated Jun 09, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This study looked at whether certain gene variants (APOL1) are linked to advanced chronic kidney disease (stage 4) in Afro-Caribbean adults living in Guadeloupe. Researchers analyzed blood samples from 88 participants to find how common these gene variants are. The goal was to better understand the role of genetics in kidney disease, not to test a new treatment.
