New device tested to seal off dangerous brain bulges

NCT ID NCT04057352

Summary

This study is testing the safety and effectiveness of a new medical device called the Citadel Embolization Device. It is designed to block blood flow into a specific type of dangerous brain aneurysm (a weak, bulging spot in a blood vessel) to prevent it from rupturing. The study will follow 150 adults with these aneurysms for one year after the procedure to see how well the device works and if it causes any serious complications like strokes.
