Plant extracts show promise for appetite control in obesity
NCT ID NCT06827002
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 28 times
Summary
This study tests whether extracts from two plants, Cissus quadrangularis and Dichrostachys glomerata, can help manage weight in healthy overweight and obese adults. The goal is to see if these extracts increase a natural appetite-regulating hormone (GLP-1) and block an enzyme that breaks it down. About 248 participants will take the extracts and be monitored for changes in appetite, body weight, and blood markers.
