Community health workers aim to ease pancreatic cancer burden

Summary
This study tests whether a specially trained community health worker can improve symptoms and quality of life for people newly diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, and also help their caregivers. About 60 patients and their caregivers will be randomly assigned to either work with a health worker or receive standard care plus educational materials. The study will track symptom burden and caregiver stress over three months.
