First seen Nov 20, 2025 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 26 times
Summary
This completed study looked at 283 women who had planned cesarean sections under spinal anesthesia, all following an Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) protocol. Researchers called participants at 3 and 6 months after surgery to ask about any ongoing scar pain and how it affected daily life. The goal was to find out how common chronic pain is with this modern recovery approach and to identify ways to improve prevention.
