New contact lenses tested for quick eye changes in nearsighted adults

NCT ID NCT07155551

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 27 times

Summary

This study looks at how three types of prototype soft contact lenses change the thickness of a layer at the back of the eye (the choroid) after just one hour of wear. Researchers will measure these changes in 20 nearsighted adults aged 18 to 25. The goal is to understand how the lenses affect the eye, not to treat or cure nearsightedness.
