First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 24 times
Summary
This early-phase study tested whether choline, a dietary supplement, is safe and can improve fat metabolism in people with a genetic risk for Alzheimer's disease (APOE4 carriers). Fifteen participants took choline to see if it changes certain fats in their spinal fluid. The goal was to gather initial data, not to cure or treat Alzheimer's symptoms.
