First seen Dec 10, 2025 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 14 times

Summary

This study looked at how a single large dose of choline (a nutrient) affects brain function in healthy postmenopausal women. 38 women aged 50-65 took either choline or a placebo, and their brain activity was measured with an MRI while they did a memory task. The goal was to understand if choline can change brain signals related to working memory.
