Scientists probe bone marrow to unlock Leukemia's secrets

NCT ID NCT05792007

Summary

This study aims to understand why some childhood leukemias resist treatment by comparing bone marrow cells from children with acute leukemia to those from children without blood diseases. Researchers will collect and analyze bone marrow samples from 40 children to see how the cells' energy use and other features differ. The goal is to gather basic knowledge that could one day lead to better treatments, but this study itself does not test a new therapy.
