Summary
This pilot study tests whether having a community health worker help families address social challenges (like food or housing needs) before starting a group weight management program helps children ages 8-12 with overweight or obesity. About 120 families will take part. The study focuses on whether this approach is practical and acceptable, and looks at changes in child weight and thinking skills.
