Summary
This study tested a new vaccine called HydroVax-005 CHIKV to see if it is safe and helps the body fight chikungunya virus, a mosquito-borne disease that causes fever and joint pain. The trial involved 48 healthy adults aged 18 to 49 who received two shots of either a low or high dose of the vaccine or a placebo. Researchers monitored side effects and measured immune responses to determine if the vaccine is safe enough for further testing.
