First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 26 times
Summary
This study looked at whether chewing sugar-free gum, drinking fennel tea, or drinking ginger tea can help women recover more comfortably after a cesarean section. 128 new mothers took part, starting these simple treatments 6 hours after surgery. Researchers checked how quickly bowel sounds returned, when gas and stool passed, and overall comfort. The goal was to find easy, drug-free ways to ease bloating and speed up recovery.
