First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 21 times
Summary
This study tested a chemotherapy-free treatment for people with previously untreated B-cell chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL). It combined two targeted drugs, ibrutinib and obinutuzumab, to control the disease. The goal was to see if this approach could reduce cancer cells to very low levels without the side effects of traditional chemo. The study involved 135 medically fit adults and used a personalized strategy based on how well the cancer responded.
