AI chatbot aims to fight HIV in High-Risk southern communities

NCT ID NCT05968755

Summary

This study is testing a chatbot designed to help increase awareness and use of HIV prevention medication (PrEP) among Black men who have sex with men in the Southern United States. Researchers will enroll 145 participants to see if using the chatbot for 90 days improves their knowledge about PrEP and their likelihood of starting the medication. The goal is to provide a new, accessible tool to help reduce HIV infections in a region heavily affected by the epidemic.
