Smart patch may replace needle test for new moms at diabetes risk

NCT ID NCT07034261

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This study tests if a continuous glucose monitor (CGM) worn for a few days can spot early signs of diabetes in women who had gestational diabetes. About 50 participants will wear the monitor and then take a standard glucose drink test 4-12 weeks after giving birth. If the CGM works well, it could offer a simpler way to check for diabetes risk without multiple blood draws.
