Prick-Free pregnancy: new study tests CGM for diabetes diagnosis

NCT ID NCT06858787

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 28 times

Summary

This study will enroll 150 pregnant women to see if a continuous glucose monitor (CGM) can accurately diagnose gestational diabetes. Instead of the standard glucose tolerance test (which involves drinking a sugary liquid and having blood drawn), participants will wear a small sensor that tracks blood sugar levels continuously. If successful, this could offer a simpler, more comfortable way to detect the condition.
